Funding
Treasure Valley RSVP receives much of its operating funds from the Federal Government. However, we are required to raise a significant portion of our annual budget through local support.
We have chosen to partner with Boise company, Project KOPEG to recycle E-waste as one of our local support programs. This unique partner-ship allows us to solicit local support without asking for money. At the same time it also makes a valuable contribution to our community.
The proceeds go toward recruiting volunteers who contribute to our community by helping to feed the hungry, build homes for the poor, provide shelter for the homeless, protect the vulnerable, teach children and adults to read, take care of the sick and make warm winter hats/mittens for children
Who is Project KOPEG?
Boise, Idaho company Project KOPEG was founded with the goal of reducing the harmful effects of improper E-waste disposal.
Their purpose is to make a difference in the lives of those in need and the environment at the same time.
Their ultimate goal is to raise public awareness and responsibility for proper E-Waste disposal through their GREEN recycling and fundraising programs.
Combining the idea of environmental responsibility and philantropy the founders put together a company with a win-win solution for our environment and worthwhile causes. In 2007 the company expanded it’s e-waste recycling program to include cell phones and chargers, ink and toner cartridges, PDAs, digital cameras, MP3 players and virtually all hand-held electronic waste.
Project KOPEG recycles within the United States, according to strict EPA regulations and practices “Zero Landfill” recycling.
